Destroy Babylon have spent over a decade refining their unique, immersive sound into a militant mix of reggae rhythms, soulful harmonies, and heavy dubs. Brothers Marc and John Beaudette keep their deep pocket rhythm section locked with a psychic twin sense while Rob Carmichael stirs up sonic guitar riffs with a smooth vocal finish. Add to that some of the finest organ and horn players Boston has to offer, and you have a group capable of getting any crowd on their feet.
Formed in 2001 in the sticks of Hudson NH and relocating to the bricks of Boston in 2005, Destroy Babylon has taken the idea of “punky reggae” to the next level. DB has shared the stage with legends that have greatly influenced the band such as Lee “Scratch” Perry, The Wailers, Steel Pulse, HR of Bad Brains, and The English Beat, in addition to shows with contemporaries like Dub Trio, The Aggrolites, The Slackers, Westbound Train and the Easy Star All-Stars.
