Leonard “Sparrow” Dillon – 1942 – 2011

Our hearts go out to Leonard’s family, friends and all his fans.  It was an honor to be able to work with this legendary artist over the past two years.  He will be sorely missed but will live on through his music.  R.I.P Sparrow.

We have photos and videos from his final recording session in Jamaica that we’re putting together to coincide with the LP package. More details to come.

Dig on The Rex Complex

The Rex Complex

The Rex Complex got a nice write up in the Boston Dig, check out the full article here!

Where to begin with this hyper-caffeinated duo? They’re weird, but let’s not let that obscure the fact that they’re also pretty awesome. [TRC]‘s recent release places them somewhere between MGMT and Beastie Boys. But even that characterization doesn’t completely do them justice. There’s a definite post-punk edge to their sound, mixed with barking vocals, pounding drums, amplified distortion and funky grooves.

Review: The Rex Complex @ Radio Bean

The Rex Complex

Another great review for The Rex Complex – read the full article here.

Holy shit. That?s exactly what comes to mind each time I think about my experience seeing The Rex Complex perform last night at Radio Bean. The experimental rock band from Brooklyn, NY pervaded my ears with a sound they call ?Roots Ruckus?? the combination of blood churning screams, hip hoppish beats and a crooked accordion.
